My mom says that the only way I could peacefully be sitting down at the age of three was in front of a turntable.
Starring in front of it while the record was playing music and being able to flip the side or switch to another one was simply magical.
So at the age of three my mom gave my first turntable very similar at the one on the picture as a present and it was one of my favorite toys from my childhood and when I watch this picture I couldn’t resist to share the story.
Then as a teenager I used to play on friends parties just for fun and I lived the transition from LPs to CDs. After that I played on bars and clubs back in Mexico City and finally for almost the last 10 years I’ve been playing on corporate events and destination weddings in Los Cabos
So when they ask me “For how long have you been doing this?” here is the answer
As you must know Los Cabos were hit very badly by hurricane Odile a couple of weeks ago. I want to use this space to let you know that our equipment is fine and we are ready to go and also our town is improving really fast and it is going to be even better than before. So if you are planning to get married in Cabo in the next few months be sure that is going to be the perfect place for a perfect day! And if you want more information about my services please don’t hesitate in contact me

Every summer has it’s everyone’s favorite songs. I remember my events back in 2011 it was LMFAO’s “Party Rock” and “Sexy and You know it”
In 2012 it was a bunch of David Guetta songs featuring some other singers and Carly Rae Jepsen “Call Me Maybe”
The last year’s winners were Daft Punk “Get Lucky” and Robin Thicke “Blurred Lines”
And finally on 2014….is hard to tell so far but for sure are going to be Iggy Azalea with “Fancy”, DJ Snake with “Turn Down For That” and of course Pharrell with “Happy” that actually has been one of my standards all year long
Here is my 2014 Mixtape with great summer songs. Enjoy!
What will your guests remember most about your destination wedding reception? It won’t be the food or the best man’s toast. It will be the music that made everyone get up and dance. That is why music is one of the most important things to think about.
As a wedding DJ I always recommend to think on your guests, think what they like based on their age and where they live and add a couple those songs to your list. For example if a few guests are coming from Texas then a couple of country songs will make them dance. If your aunts are in their 50’s a few Disco songs will make them very happy.
And about the “classic cheesy songs” a couple of them won’t hurt and to be honest everybody loves them!
I’m not talking about the “Chicken Dance” I’m talking about “Brick House” or “Shout” for example and If you let the DJ play it at the right timing I guarantee you everybody will remember your wedding for life!!!
Cheers

Today I just want to share that last month we reach a thousand events (1,012 by now) Most of them wedding DJ services in Cabo.
I remember my first event in Los Cabos in 2005 at The Westin Resort like if it was as my past wedding at El Ganzo Hotel this last Saturday. I’ve known many great couples, many great coordinators, many great people. I’ve played many first dances, I’ve done many introductions, I´ve heard many toasts. And I just can’t wait to keep doing what I love and play music for the people and make them dance once again this weekend.
I am very happy to reach this mark and very thankful with all the persons that trusted me their Big Days. God bless you and let’s go for a thousand more!
Cheers
Wow! My first blog post. I can’t wait to share ideas, topics and suggestions with you in further days but this first time I want to keep it short and sweet as they usually say when someone grabs the microphone on a wedding.
