Hi there, I want take this chance to talk a little bit about lights

If you hire a DJ to hear music and to make you and you guests dance, why spend a little bit more on lighting?

It helps to set a “mood,” dim down the lights a bit and wash the place with moving colors and will effect physiological responses of your guests. They will know is “Party Time”.

Our brain takes a lot of shortcuts to make sense of all the information presented to it about the world around it. It develops associations between senses, and uses this information in an aggregated sense.

That is why if you buy a ticket hear a performer sing or play anyways they spend many resources in transporting, designing, programming and operating elaborate lighting rigs.

If you’re a person who enjoys individuality and wants to create a unique atmosphere for your clients or guests don’t think twice.

Last week I finish with a series of six events at Fiesta Americana Resort and this time I want to take the opportunity of sharing with you the comments that an event coordinator just sent me. I am very glad and proud to receive this kind words:

My company recently hired Joaquin for our DJ needs while doing a handful of large events for our Incentive Trip to Cabo San Lucas. We had 3 back to back trips and even ended up tacking on 3 smaller events last minute that Joaquin was happy to assist with. When he was already booked for one of the last minute events we added on, he offered up another DJ to come in his place, leaving the work effortless for me. Hi There,

When I play music I like to play the tracks just the way they are, that means without crazy effects and long sophisticated loops, the most important thing is keeping the beat so the music can run smoothly and the way it was made by the artist in first place. I truly believe that people enjoy more the songs hearing it the way they know it and without the crazy stuff. To be honest almost all the DJs can do all those tricks but these are not our events…are yours!

I manager that used to run a club in Mexico City where I used to play once told me that “It is more important playing the right song at the right moment rather than showing our skills during the evening” And that is a great truth

The DJ especially on weddings or corporate events is not the “main attraction” of the event but he has to keep in mind that the music is what makes the success or failure of the event.

Two days ago I was on a meeting with a couple that they are doing their wedding in Los Cabos and I’ll be the DJ and we were talking about the cocktail music.
